Brittany Jinkins,
LCSW, SAC, IDP-AT

I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Brittany Jinkins and I very much enjoy helping people to see their own strengths and help them overcome obstacles in their life. I am a strong advocate for the clients that I work with. My beliefs about therapy and treatment is that if done properly, nothing but positive outcomes can come from it. Success is a sliding scale and sometimes even the smallest changes are a huge success.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and a state approved IDP assessor. I started out at UW-Stout where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Prior to graduation I did a small internship at Catholic Charities of Eau Claire. I then moved on to earn my Master’s in Clinical Social Work at the University of St. Thomas/ St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. I did two internships within my Masters program; the first one was at Daily Work in St Paul where I worked as a case manager helping immigrants and refugees apply for jobs and find work that could help them sustain their life. My second internship was at the Interprofessional Center of St. Thomas where I saw clients with severe and persistent mental illness for mental health therapy. Shortly after graduation, I began working with Northwest journey which is a mental health day treatment center for children and adolescents. With over six years of experience with that I moved on to build my own business that focuses on helping Eau Claire county residents complete their Intoxicated Driver Program as well as provide outpatient substance use treatment to those who are in need of that support.

I am grateful every day for the work that I am able to do for the clients that I work with. I have big dreams, hopes, and plans for Refine Counseling.
